Our HVAC system has major challenges, so the electronics teacher and I got together to make temperature probes. He put together simple devices that registered the temperature at ThingSpeak. I wrote a custom graphing interface in d3 to grab data from the ThingSpeak API and then graph all the room data on one chart for our facilities crew to keep track.
